About Me

Marketing should make sense. I believe that to my core.

It shouldn’t feel overwhelming. It shouldn’t waste your budget. It shouldn’t leave you guessing if it’s working.

Because of this, it’s my passion to help businesses bring clarity to their marketing—so every dollar, every message, and every channel is working toward something meaningful.

I grew up on a farm in Minburn, Iowa, where you learn early that hard work isn’t optional, and neither is figuring things out when something doesn’t go as planned.

That mindset stuck with me.

After attending Central Dallas in Minburn, IA through my sophomore year and then graduating from Southeast Polk, in Altoona, IA life took me across the country and beyond. I’ve lived in several states and traveled to 40 U.S. states, Mexico, Canada, and parts of Europe.

This exposure to many cultures helped me understand how different people think, decide to buy, and connect. It shaped how I approach marketing and learned there is no “one-size-fits-all.” The best marketing meets people where they are and speaks in a way that resonates with them.

Where my experience comes from

I didn’t start my career with a big agency or a polished brand.

One of my earliest roles was helping build a marketing department from scratch for a B2B2C (business to business to customer) company in Clive, Iowa. No playbook. No roadmap. Just a need to grow.

I worked across direct mail, video, events, and digital, learning firsthand that marketing only works when it’s connected by a clear strategy.

From there, my career grew into corporate marketing leadership roles, primarily at global, multibillion dollar life sciences and diagnostic companies. Over the past 20+ years, I’ve worked hands on and managed teams focused on:

  • Brand and messaging and awareness
  • Demand generation and lifecycle marketing
  • Websites and user experience
  • SEO, paid media, social media, and email
  • iContent strategy and development
  • Events and webinars
  • Analytics and performance optimization

Since 2020, like many people, I’ve been working remotely, collaborating with teams across multiple states, countries, and time zones.

What I’ve learned (and why it matters to you)

Working across small companies and global organizations taught me something most businesses don’t hear enough:

I’ve led initiatives that:

  • Improved campaign performance by creating structured customer journeys.
  • Increased website engagement by simplifying experiences and reducing friction.
  • Boosted ROI by optimizing where and how money is spent—not just spending more.

All without additional budget. If you start with strategy, alignment, and an understanding of your audience, you can build marketing to support your business goals without spending more.

How I approach marketing

I bring both sides of marketing together:

Strategy

Understanding your business, your audience, and what actually matters.

Execution

Making sure the work gets done, everything is working together, and improves over time.

I’m as comfortable digging into data and performance as I am shaping messaging and creative direction. That balance is where the best marketing happens.

For me, creativity isn’t just design—it’s:

  • Seeing patterns others miss
  • Finding better ways to connect with your audience
  • Turning complex ideas into something clear and usable

Where I Am Now

Today, I live in Winterset, Iowa, and work with clients locally and beyond. In my spare time you’ll find me either in the garden getting dirty, figuring out what else I can build from scrap wood, or going off grid at music festivals.

I’m also a proud mom of three grown, successful, amazing kids (no grandkids yet but maybe someday), and I’ve been married to an amazing man for 14 years. He’s been my biggest supporter and the one who encouraged me to take the leap into building this business.
